Merry Christmas.

lyrics

Ever since you left me,
I’ve been dreaming that you’d return,
It's Christmas eve and I’m all alone,
Just watching the fire burn,
I know that it seems unlikely,
Impossible, not a chance,
But If I can’t dream on Christmas eve,
Then what is the point of romance?

Merry, Merry Christmas
Merry, Merry Christmas
Merry, Merry Christmas tonight...

They asked me what I wanted,
And I told them all the same,
Toys and candy and presents,
Do nothing to ease my hearts pain,
I wrote you a thousand letters,
I sang you a thousand songs,
But you said we weren’t meant for each other,
And I told you that you were wrong,

Merry, Merry Christmas
Merry, Merry Christmas
Merry, Merry Christmas tonight...

Suddenly I awaken and look up and who should I see,
Not Santa or elves or reindeer,
Oh tell me I’m not dreaming please,
My final request is a simple one,
Now that you have finally shown,
Oh won’t you just please come over,
And we’ll meet by the mistletoe,

Merry, Merry Christmas
Merry, Merry Christmas
Merry, Merry Christmas tonight...

about

We Were Pirates Washington, D.C.

We Were Pirates is the musical brainchild of Mike Boggs, a multi-instrumentalist who writes and records songs in his home studio in the DC area.

To date, Boggs has released three We Were Pirates albums & a film score for the Calvin & Hobbes documentary ‘Dear Mr. Watterson’ in 2013.

2012's Change is slightly more mature and aggressive than Boggs’ previous works, but with the same WWP catchiness.
